. TERMS AND CONDITIONS By placing an order on The Gardeners Shop UK web site, you will be deemed to have read, understood and agreed to the following Terms & Conditions.

MAKING A PAYMENT: We accept payment by credit & debit cards, except American Express. All credit & debit cards are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer when you place an order. If the issuer of your payment card refuses or does not, for any reason, authorise payment to us, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery. The Gardeners Shop UK accepts UK cheques crossed, made payable to: The Gardeners Shop UK. All cheques must be cleared before products are dispatched.
UK 2nd Class Delivery: Our 2nd Class Delivery is a flat rate of £3.95 (inc vat) per order. (Normally delivered within 2-4 working days from dispatch, except at busy periods of the year.) UK Exceptions to Delivery: The above delivery prices are for most UK mainland addresses. However, delivery to the Highlands & Islands of Scotland, Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Isles of Scilly and the Channel Islands may incur an additional delivery charge if the order exceeds a certain weight and size. If this is the case the customer will be contacted prior to dispatch with the cost of delivery. WORLDWIDE DELIVERY: Our Worldwide Delivery is £16.50 (excluding vat) per order. This delivery cost covers most small worldwide orders. Larger Worldwide orders are subject to a delivery quote, which is sent via email and valid for 30 days. Delays and Costs: The Gardeners Shop UK are not responsible for any delays that may occur due to the parcel being held up in customs or costs related to re-delivery or re-sending the parcel to the requested destination in the unlikelihood the parcel is returned to The Gardeners Shop UK. The customer is liable for any customs duty costs that may apply to their parcel. Messages on Parcels: We are happy to add your delivery instructions to the front of the parcel. However, The Gardeners Shop UK can not be held responsible for any loss or damage to the unattended parcel. Delivery instruction messages can not be added to Worldwide Delivery parcels or UK Next Day Delivery parcels which both require a signature.
VAT (value added tax): All prices include VAT where applicable at the current rate of 20%

We treat all your personal information as confidential, although we reserve the right to disclose this information in the limited circumstances : We only collect relevant data to enable us to process your order and monitor behaviour patterns in our web shop. If the police or any other regulatory or government authority requests your personal information or user information for investigation into suspected illegal activities, we are entitled to do so. **Exception to Returns: The supply of goods made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalised. Cosmetics or skin care items, plants, seeds, sale goods or items that are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly. Next Working Day Delivery cost and Worldwide Delivery cost are non refundable should the customer decide to return the goods. DAMAGED GOODS: In the unlikely event you receive a damaged item, please contact us within 2 days of receipt of order via email: sales@thegardenersshop.co.uk or phone 0208 777 4332. We can then arrange for a refund or replacement (if in stock) We may require photographs of the damage or the damaged item to been returned to us. In these circumstances The Gardeners Shop UK will reimburse the customer for the reasonable delivery cost of the returned damaged item. MISSING ORDER: We must be notified via email, if you have not received your order within 30 days of dispatch. SHORTAGE IN ORDER: In the unlikely event you do not receive your full order, please contact us within 2 days of receipt of order via email: sales@thegardenersshop.co.uk or phone 020 8777 4332 PRODUCT IMAGES & DESCRIPTIONS: Every care is taken to ensure descriptions and specifications of the products shown on our web site are correct. All dimensions are approximate and slight colour variations may occur due to the nature of photo reproduction onto the web site or a product being handmade.
